Round 2 Race Report

MRF Round 2

A warm, sunny but dusty weekend for all 17 of the MRF Competitors. With such a wealth of experience through the field, Pavan knows the challenge is on when competing against the worlds best.

A few small errors in Qualifying left Pavan in 13th Overall with a best effort of a 1.59.2 around the Dubai Autodrome circuit. With his positive attitude and outlook, Pavan knows where he made his mistakes and looked to improve on them during the 4 races that followed

We didn't get a full clean lap, too many errors on my behalf especially in turn 14, I am going to push hard to work on that during the races

A few more mistakes after the pressure of a bad qualifying left Pavan finishing 13th and 14th in the first two races of the weekend, although having not used his new tyres yet Pavan was hoping to impress in the following two.

Race 3 showed some great pace, setting the 7th fastest lap overall and coming through to get that top 10 that he was looking for and some more points on the board in the championship.

For the final race of the day, Pavan was hoping for even more progress to push him up the field. With a new set of tyres saved for the final race this could easily have been achieveable. Unfortunately, a crash with another driver put pain to that leaving Pavan with a very badly damaged car.

I think this weekend we showed some good progress, I am going to be working hard to be more prepared and focussed than ever for the next round
Pavan's next race is in New Delhi, India on the 27-29th January.
